MAKE UP ARTIST
Makeup artist Alicia was born in Georgetown, Guyana, to a mother who is of Portuguese and Amerindian (Arawak Tribe) decent, and to a father of East Indian descent, inheriting in her blood a rich and diverse culture, full of life and ambiance.
Growing up, she was surrounded by a very artistic family and a father who himself is an artist; she developed a fascination with art and fashion as well as attention to precision and detail. Alicia moved to New York City, at the age of 18, where she designed the window of a Gramercy Park Boutique. Her love for art and fashion, Alicia decided to pursue a career as a makeup artist and moved onto attending the Make-Up Designory School (MUD), in Soho, New York. There she cultivated her skills and earned several diplomas. Soon after, she was hired as an artist for M.A.C Cosmetics, where she has worked with people of all ages and ethnicities.
As a vibrant woman, in love with being an artist, Alicia has worked with models from top agencies, fashion designers, top photographers, directors and actors. Her work can be seen in magazines, on the runway, on TV shows such as “Clean House New York”, as well as on celebrity clients.
Alicia has established herself on the forefront of a new breed of makeup artists. Not only is she adept at adding creative collaboration for successful photo shoots and fashion shows, her equal skill in the world of design and merchandising has proven Alicia to be an artist and someone with a keen eye for fashion.
